    The Dominican Republic Dental Project has served the mountain poor of this Caribbean country since 1982. All funds to support it are raised by the participants themselves. 

    Unlike many charities this is a zero overhead endeavor, where every penny raised goes directly to those who need it. It costs about twenty five dollars per patient to provide the services, yet on average hundreds of dollars worth of dental care is provided to each individual. In other words every dollar given is multiplied by a factor of ten or more. For example, a $50 donation results in about $500 in dental care for these hardworking people. Your donation is fully tax deductible as well.

If tax deductibility is not an issue (that is you do NOT itemize) then simply write your check to “Dominican Dental Project”.
